Hey Syaz! Haha

Instructions:
1. Copy and paste the instructions into a new entry.
2. List down 8 stories that you remember watching as a kid.
3. Write why you chose each movie.
4. Publish your answers.
5. Tag 5 friends to do this including the one that tagged you.

1. Land before time
- My absolute number one favourite when I was younger. I cry every single time I watch it - Little Foot's so cute and pitiful! But my favouritest part was how they made eating leaves look yummy, and sleeping in a Sharp Tooth's (T-rex) footprint look comfy, and an egg rolling through a swamp look exciting. And - oh! - the Great Valley! I wanna live there!

2. Anastasia ( Was that when I was a kid? I guess preteen means kid too right?)
- I knew most of the lines cos I watched it every three days! And I'd still watch it now; it's that good.

3. Edward Scissorhands
-At this point I'm already taking inspiration from Syaz's list, because I only remember ever watching Land Before Time as a kid. This I remember ecause he burst the poor girl's water bed! And made snow. My two most memorable scenes.

4. The Lion King
- Did I ever tell you I always acted out scenes from the Lion King at home and in the car? I'd carry a stuff toy up and pretend I was Rafiki (or whatever that baboon was called), or pretend I was eating bugs from the colourful paisley pattern of my last-time couch like Timon and Pumba did.

5. Mary Poppins
-Such a fun musical! Imagine flying everywhere by the handle of your parrot-head umbrella!

6. Pipi Longstocking
- I hardly remember much of the storyline, but I think it was from a pretty early part of my childhood. I'd roll down the carpeted stairs (only four steps, in a hotel room) because I saw Pipi rolling down the stairs haha

7. The Snow Queen
- Oooh I love this movie! It was a Soviet film, and all the images were so entrancing! I remember the wooden shoe floating on the water, the mirror breaking, the rose that froze (it rhymes!), the ball, the crow, the dancing... Love It!

8. Back To The Future
- We watch it every year whenever there's a Public Holiday, but that's because we all love the film. Michael J Fox, Saranghamnida!!!!

Okay, that's it! I tag Syaz, Pat, Dan, Diana and Steffoiz, but it's okay if you guys don't do it. Bu it's fun haha

The last post was typed out in actual sentences and paragraphs, and it felt so good! I did notice all the typos though, and I suppose that is one drawback that I'll have to live with as long as I'm writing my posts on my brother's laptop.

Today was spent having lunch with Pat again. It was Nasi Ayam Penyet the last time, so today we decided to try the Lucky Prata! ... which unfortunately was not available until 7 p.m. So we had to try the Dum Briyani (which was so dum it forgot the "b" at the end of "dumb"! Okay, that was extremely lame and uncalled for...). It was way nicer than the school's, which isn't that unusual, considering the standard of the Indian food there.

After I'd left Pat to her job, I did some birthday present-shopping at Border's, for my cousin who's coming back from Australia this very second. I thought of buying The Tales of Beedle The Bard by J.K. Rowling, but realised my huge Harry-Potter-fan cousin may have already read it. So instead, I looked for this book called The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, which is quite similar to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in the sense that the man keeps getting younger. It took two Borders employees half an hour to locate the last of this book left in Borders. The last one! So I was considering myself extremely lucky even though the cover was a little bit spoiled. And now it's all wrapped up and ready to be gifted.

I'm leaving for the airport from my cousin's house in Kembangan soon, even though I'm already late by now.

Till next time,

p.s. Typing in prose reminds me of being in school and writing essays!

went on an outing with diana and syaz today
syaz and i were late meeting diana... sorry, beb!
lol

exchanged gifts, and then we ate!
we did nothing untowardly today
just walked round bugis, and arab street and bras basah
my feet ache at the end of the day, but what the heck
shouldn't have worn heels- i wanna buy flats!!!
(but money no enough, unless anybody's got second-hand flats in good condition, in size 8/9 to sell to me at a cheap price... anyone? anyone at all?)

i wore my sister's $6 top from hong kong before i realised it was falling apart at the seams quite literally
such bad quality sewing, but what do you expect at $6?

anyways, tomorrow i'll be sleeping at my cousins' place till sunday/ monday
yay!

maybe i'll be able to finish my homework there
maybe? what maybe?
of course i won't
hahah
and to add to that, i'll be missing arsenal's game against everton
:(

and to add to that, my father's discontinuing our contract with scv
so no more arsenal!!!!
*bawls* *howls* *climbs up the building and threatens to jump off it*
nooooooooOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
no, not my arsenal! not my beloved arsenal!
arsenal is my life!!!!! :'((

arrgghhh
i'll have to persuade him to do otherwise
i have to!
he's taking away my life....

so my facial experience left me with experiences both good and bad

relaxing:
the masks

painful: diamond peeling> using a vaccuum-like machine to suck dirt off my face (every strokefelt like sandpaper)
the digging out of whiteheads and blackheads out of my pores (they used this ear-digging-type instrument; so painful that tears flowed)

at least afterwards, my face felt so much cleaner
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

anyways, i've finally bought mitch albom's for one more day
13 pages left; really sad
shed a few tears even before reaching the half-way mark

thursday: after the nonentity maths paper, went home to catch some shut-eye
then met up with steph and dan late because of the shut-eye, after steph's facial
saw rachel, neha and their friend
had a look-see at borders
didn't get to de-virginise my new atm card there :(...
all the normal stuff, y'know
except i saw bounce up! at borders!
(for the uninitiated, bounce up was the name for my sec 3/4 infatuation, dubbed bounce up for the sport he played - volleyball [ball bouncing up? geddit?])
hmmm...

then,
we ate ramenten! yay!
finally, some halal sushi in singapore
we also met steph's au naturale gray-eyed malay friend
so cool!
and then off to ngee ann city...

...where i bought an arsenal fc magazine!
my word, it was a bleeding $16 dollars
but worth it, i think, for the best, most stylish club in the world ;)
lost of pictures of fabregas in it, anyways
hehe

and then at the better toy shop, i bought this music-box
you can see how it works - little dots sticking out of a metal sheet pushes these small strips of metal to create a sound
i've been playing it non-stop for the past three days
before bed, after waking up, after my shwoer, before reading... you get the picture

and today, i've been making pineapple tarts
real ugly, but they're all the same once you pop them in your mouth

...

my brother told me that at his camp,
8 out of 10 of the malay boys don't fast!
in the morning, for the pre-dawn meal, only my brother and another boy ate
the others take lunch
lunch?! are you kidding me?!
i was super-shocked... and disgusted
they don't fast, don't respect the month of ramadan, and usually they're the ones who celebrate hari-raya the most
hmmph; the nerve of people nowadays...

okay, that's it
because of the persistent hounding of my siblings, i have to end here
till next time then

fina-colada ;)
