i hate blackburn, i detest the way the play, i loathe their players
HATE, HATE, HATE blackburn

arsenal versus blackburn drew, as i knew they would
just the gut feeling (i feel it in the chest, rather) i have before every game
arsenal's passing was better than last game's, i think
but not as good as it should be

and blackbloodyburn...
play dirty
never have i seen (or remembered from recent games) so many fouls and dirty tricks and just plain bad attitude
the worst disciplinary record or sth last season
bentley and savage (and to a lesser degree, samba and nelsen) suck ass

though, i must admit, i was impressed by santa cruz of blackburn
he kept composed throughout the game, no wiles or riles
and i thought he was cute (hehe, felt bad for thinking that of the enemy)

now, to me, blackburn's enemies are my friends, unless they are bolton (if they play against each other, i hope they foul each other to oblivion)

when i watch a game, i don't look only at the game
i watch faces, and body language
and i have such a soft spot for hleb
aliaksandr's face looks like one that doesn't get angry without a reason
he looks like he has a good temperament, and did not get caught in the scuffles between blackburn and arsenal
i thought he looked kind of frail when i first saw him, u noe, the bone structure and all
but i like his character

compare him to van persie and fabregas
as much as i like/love fabregas, he does have such a quick temper
and with van persie got into the thick of the action against dunn/dumm and whoever
but i must say, i do, truly, madly, deeply, have a crush on fabregas
remembered a quote relating to him from twelfth night
that i posted before, but shall post again:
"what a deal of scorn looks beautiful in the contempt and anger of his lips"
hehe

walcott... has such a baby face
dunno why, even when he plays with traore who's only a few months older than he, he just looks like the explicit baby of the team
him and clichy, even though clichy is 22
walcott impressed me today though =)

lehmann, lehmann (lemon, i call him)
why another blunder?
wasn't fulham enough?
*sighs*

and stupid bloody blackburn
so violent and rough
i wondered throughout the game, what kind of supporters are blackburn supporters?
that like the dirty ways?
i'd say they probably are not peace-preaching, environmentally-concerened people
the environmental part... because people who care about the environment would want peace, and that's not what blackburn promote
barbarians, hooligans probably, the whole lot of them
[omg, i'm discriminating indiscriminately! against my principles!! oh no, i'm suffering from footballclub-icism!!]

and (YAY!!!) manchester united lost!
against manchester city!
i dunno what happened to them; first draw against reading, and now this
i tell u, must be the community shield curse
happy for obvious reasons =)
the manchester part of manchester city's name put me off supporting them at first,
then i thought, what the heck
and manchester city's goalkeeper (david schmeichel) was cute ^.^
however, should manchester united (or even chelsea, for that matter), go against blackburn or bolton, there's no doubt who i'd support: not blackburn
that's how much i dislike them

my second post of the day
must be some kind of record, looking at how rarely i post these days
feeling kind of sick from getting hit in the head by a stick
concussed... (haha. [inside joke])

that's all for now
fina <3

times like just now, i wished my gut (chest) feelings were wrong
hoped arsenal'd win

p.s. saw two rainbows in the course of a week
and am no longer atm machine of the group
haha ;)

yay! caught them fireworks on friday night!!!
altho... it was in the middle of a traffic jam
hahah
we were abit late (abt 15 mins before the fireworks were supposed to go off) just after praying
and got caught in a stupid jam going towards the marina bay sth or other
i tell u, every single vehicle was at a standstill
traffic was not slow-moving, or crawling, or even inching little by little; it was quite dead

9.15: by then, loads of people had gotten out of their cars and walked off into the distance to catch the fireworks
we remained in the car to accompany my dad (y? because my mum said so)
by then we'd given up hope of catching the fireworks and were planning to turn in to the expressway instead of continuing to marina
then we saw fireworks go off in front of our eyes (quite literally)
YAY!!!
turns out we were near where one of the places the fireworks were to be launched
so after 5 minute watching from inside the car, everybody got out of their vehicles to ooh and ahh at the fyre beauties

my favourites were the really fine types
like gold dust or sprinkles of whatever
and they had jupiter-shaped ones!
my dad gave stupid names to the different types
like stardust or porcupine, or coconut tree
all quite self-explanatory
after the fireworks ended in a crescendo of red, gold and green starbursts,
suddenly traffic started moving
was it a miracle? were the fireworks the culprits of the jam? or stupid drivers who parked their cars in the middle of the road to watch the fireworks?

needless to say, drivers whose cars were way behind ours who had walked ahead to view the fireworks because their view had been blocked by trees began running back to their cars lest their car became the only non-moving car in the middle of the road

then saturday...
met syaz at woodlands station in school uniform at 9 am
to go to smu accountancy school's conference hall 2 for some mendaki club seminar
had breakfast at long john's first
saw two other saints there, out of the whole list that were supposed to be there
and had a bp reunion with siti (tjc), aisyah (ijc), zawiyah (pjc)
and while all of us (cept aisyah) were conversing during the tea break, the mayor of central cdc and the president of the mendaki club walked over
and talked to us
WHYY?!!!
it was so uncomfortable; other kids had gone back inside, and still we stood there talking to these guys
they asked abt our aspirations, school, parents occupation, etc, etc...
haish... and all we wanted was to head back inside the hall
finally, syaz told them that we had to return to our seats, and they let us go

after that, lunch was at 2, so syaz and i ciao-ed to meet diana
briefly spoke with siti, and walked over to peninsular plaza to have our lunch
thought my pw meeting was at 4, not three
so arrived late at nlb (sorry, guys!)
found books, copied stuff
and went home

and that, my friends, was the summary of the last two days
would tell about the rest of the week, but seriously cannot remember them

toodles, then

here i am again
updating the weekly fina editorial
four days late...
oh well:

last tuesday>
went with the 'rents to the airport to welcome the bro home from jordan
and YAY! he brought back two keychains!!
100 sing dollars there is only 40 jordan dinar
and the food there is quite ex, except for streetside kebabs (only 1/5 what it costs here!- $1.00)
i'd actually wanted to show some pics of jordan, but stupid blogger's taking a helluva long time to load
like, never?
anyways, he did visit some pretty interesting places (though not petra)
he visited the jordan river, which supposed to be a big deal in the bible or sth
john e baptist was said to have baptised jesus there,
and it was crossed many times by many people with many intentions in the bible (source: wikipedia)
and the dead sea did not look dead, just blue/green
so salty that its shore was salt-encrusted

and i got to eat popeye's chicken! at last!!!
not that bad, but the smell wasn't as enticing as the last time i walked past the restaurant
and the buttermilk biscuits tasted great with jam
but the mashed potatoes... i guess i'm too attuned to kfc's mashies that anything else tastes weird
but the cajun fries more than made up for it =)
and i guess that's about it...

now, i can't remember anything else that went on last week cos its so long ago
so i'll talk about this week:

did u noe, two people danced very silly-ly at sajc's national day celebration?
haha! and caught on tape too
it was during the musical chairs segment...
heehee...
so after that, the three of us, dan, steph and me, ate at kfc

where the service was super friggin slow
(cos they hadn't cooked the food yet)
and i think they actually forgot about the order until we asked them about it
ah well...
then my eyes got so tired from looking at the computer screen about five hours
occupied my time with parodies and "requiem for a dream (piano, long version)" on youtube
that guy (pace34) made the song sound even greater than before... whoa...

after that, dan finished her council stuff earlier than we'd expected, so we thought we'd make good our original plans of eating at pizzahut
but turned out steph had some last minute dance stuff
so till next thursday, then :)

anyways, wed evening and thusday was spent at the bungalow my uncle rented for this holiday
cycling, karaoke-ing and barbequeing (typical malay holiday)
went to the beach this morning (aforesaid bungalow was at pasir ris park)
and finally got some exercise (2-3 hours cycling, uphill and down)
sadly, had to go home earlier than the rest of cousins and cousins' cousins
so here i am

okay, i'd actually wanted a samsung u600 to replace my current phone
then told my dad to postphone the ordering, just to look through the choices again
then i made my mind up again about the u600
until my sister began shopping around for a new mp3 player, and i decided i wanted a new one too
so i told my dad (again) to postpone ordering the phone
until i've made my decision about this:
should i buy a u600, with a separate mp3/4 player (samsung k5)
or just go straight for a sony ericsson w880i?
or even a different kind of mp3 player? like creative? iriver, perhaps?

*sighs* decisions, decisions...

fina :p

p.s. some stupid guy on the expressway just now suddenly swerved into the lane in front of my dad's car,
very fast and dangerously, with a kid in his backseat
like, wtf?
my dad honked at the guy, but still the asshole continued winding through traffic very fast
and that got my dad (and me) mad
so my dad took off after him, driving at 130 km/h
passed by the guy
(by then rage was boiling up inside of me too much for me to care that it was 40 over the speed limit)
all i thought was "stupid asshole"
the guy actually caught up with us, and i got a clear view of the kid perching precariously on the backseat
and stared daggers at the guy
figures, it was some young irresponsible buck
asshole
(though now that i think about it, my dad's actions were pretty irresponsible too, but at least he signalled while driving
bleh)

we had learning festival on wed and thursday
kind of slackish, but the type of learning i'd rather have
we were supposed to choose at least four courses out of the hundred odd courses they provided
since we signed up a little late, we couldn't take up the french and comic drawing courses that we wanted
but at least we got the calligraphy course.

so wednesday began with balloons bursting
hahah
balloons resisting the twisting and squeezing that we were subjecting them to
i couldn't make the small flower with five petals, and my yellow balloon flew off into god-knows-where when i accidentally released it while pumping it
but at least i ended up with a dog, a giraffe, and a huge, green and orange flower that i had to throw away when one of its petals burst

after that course, the first-impressions talk was so interesting that it ended way beyond its supposed timeslot
really funny, engaging speaker
now, if only all our teachers were like that...

dan had to go for debates that wednesday, so it only steph and i went to cathay to catch a movie
and (YAY!!!) they had the simpsons movie!! like, a day before it was supposed to be released!!!
hahah
really funny stuff, but it was more slapstick, so it was funny then, just not now when i look back on it
can u believe i cried watching the simpsons?!!
all because marge and the kids left homer, who didn't want to leave alaska to save springfield
the video marge made was so sad; it was taped over their old wedding video, the only thing marge saved from their house when they were chased by a mob or sth

anyways, before the movie, we had to leave our balloon animals at the door since they weren't allowed in
by the time the movie was over, they were gone :'(
so steph and i decided to buy our own balloons to make!
hahah
we went to that party store in centrepoint
and bought one hundred long balloons, two pumps, and just to make ourselves happy, three helium balloons; two for me (and sis) and one for her

the ride back on the mrt was embarassing
me, alone, with two helium balloons, irritating the hell out of everyone during peak hour
hehe

thursday was calligraphy and golf
i got to draw pretty words, and hit balls
what more could i ask for?

it's sunday today
and, like all other sundays,
i'm procrastinating on homework, and housework,
and just living the lazy life that i think befits me to a tee

however, in just a few minutes,
i shall try to do some homework
i.e. the lit hw already a day late
my gp folder, which is missing like 11 articles and powerpoint printouts
history essays (yes, there are two due on monday)

feeling a bit peeved with my family now though
u noe how irrational adults are right?
and over-sensitive?
(not to mention irritable, and irritating)
always reading between the lines when there's nothing really out of hand
and then taking offense
haish...
let it be said that i'm not looking forward to being an adult...
... unless it has a rational, sensible character
(like what i have now...)
(he he)

ok then
time for the torture of hw to begin...

HARRY POTTER BOOK'S OUT!!!!
yessss!!! harry potter and the deathly hallows is out!!!

'nuff said...

.....ok, maybe not, simply can't resist...

[WARNING, MY FOLLOWING WORDS CONTAIN SPOILERS TO THE RECENTLY OUT HP BOOK. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK, AND EXPRESS A GREAT DESIRE TO DO SO WITHOUT HAVING YOUR FUN SPOILED, STOP READING ----> NOW]

okay, just finished the book [9.30] , would have finished sooner if i didn't stop to watch gladiator and to eat

actually wanted the adult cover, until i saw the children's cover and requested for that one (more colourful, if you must know)
was disappointed at first that the book was not thicker, but now i see that it's length works just fine for the story

okay, here comes spoilers:

  • Hedwig dies. poor thing
  • George i think, loses an ear to Snape's sectumsemptra curse (George was disguised as Harry as a decoy)
  • Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin are married;Tonks got pregnant, and gave birth to Ted, named after her father
  • the Deathly Hallows are three powerful items: an Invisible Cloak, which harry has inherited and is unlike any other; a wand that will win all duels, the Elder Wand; and a stone that brings people back to life, just not exactly back to human state, the Resurrection Stone
  • Dobby dies helping Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ollivander, Luna, Dean, and two goblins escape from the Malfoy mansion.
  • Snape had been in love with Harry's mother Lily since young; they'd been best friends. Snape was a death eater, but joined Dumbledore after voldermort went after Lily and wouldn't acquiesce to Snape's request to spare Lily. Snape did kill Dumbledore, but only because Dumbledore told him to, and Dumbledore was dying anyway.Snape was killed by voldy, though.
  • Fred, Tonks and Lupin are killed in the battle that ensued between defenders of Hogwarts (including the Order of the Phoenix) and the death eaters.
  • Mrs Weasley called beatrix lestrange a bitch for attacking Ginny, and kills her
  • Harry finds out from Snape's memory that Dumbledore kept him alive only because he must kill all voldy's Horcruxes, and then must die, since a part of voldy is in him. so Harry, to prevent any further deaths of loved ones, meets voldy, and faces him, unarmed.
  • voldy tries to kill Harry with avada kedavra using the Elder Wand, but Harry survives because he was willing to die; unafraid to face death
  • draco is not really a complex, misunderstood character after all. he's actually just a frightened little boy, or coward, and has to be saved twice by Harry
  • the last battle between Harry and voldy reveals that Harry is the rightful owner of the Elder Wand, which voldy actually took from inside Dumbledore's tomb, and kills voldy when he disarms voldy with an expelliarmus and voldy's avada kedavra recoils and hits himself instead.
  • In the end, Hermione marries Ron, children: Rose and Hugo; Harry marries Ginny, children: James, Albus Severus and Lily. Ted Lupin is a close family friend, since Harry is his godfather

i think those're the key points in the book, except for a whole chunk of the process of discovering the deathly hallows and such. oh yeah, kreacher is now loyal to Harry since Harry gave him, Regulus' (who is sirius' now dead brother and kreacher's favourite master) locket, and because Harry (and Hermioner) loves elves. serious! he even cares for the Golden Trio and 12 Grimmauld Place like never before. Haha. Okay then, that is it.

i'll just leave you now with a quote, from when Dobby dies:

"And then with a little shudder the elf became quite still, and his eyes were nothing more than great, glassy orbs sprinkled with light from the stars the could not see."

i haven't been updating in a while, have i?
just got super lazy
so here are the updates:

1. went to watch the commendation ceremony at st andrew's cathedral
really nice on the inside, all stained glass and white walls
muslim students were actually excused, but i went to support danielle
no offense meant to anyone, but the one hour seemed really long in there
but some parts were interesting
and now dan's a councillor! with a badge!
hehe

2. a majority of paternal female cousins stayed with us for the weekend
which equals to 7 girls, ranging from age 17 to age 8
six of us were all at our grandma's house, but only one parent was willing to send us
from jalan singa (eunos) to woodlands
so there were six of us in the back seat
can u imagine?! younger ones sitting on the laps of the older ones
everyone passing by the car looked into the backseat incredulously
haha

3. watched harry potter!
on sunday, the 7 of us trooped to marsiling station and headed for dhoby ghout
to watch the movie at plaza singapura
luckily my bro had booked the tickets for us thru AXS
met my bro, who arrived by motorbike
(and had never really cared to watch a movie with us before this)
bought the snacks
met two other, older, female cousins
(which makes the count ten; 9 girls, and my poor bro, the only guy)
and headed in to watch the movie
all ten of us sat in a row, so u can imagine how hard it was to share the snacks
and another stupid thing happened:
i spilled 3/4 of the popcorn on the carpet!!

the movie was... ok, i guess
i decided not to read the book again before watching the moves so i would watch it with an open mind
but i still have a few complaints about the movie
a few discrepancies like how did the kids,
other than harry and luna who can actually see the scaly horse/bird,
manage to ride them?
it wasn't explained, so it may have been confusing to ppl who haven't read the book
they should have at least shown the funny process of ron or somebody groping around on the "invisible" creature
and the part harry got possessed by lord V was hilarious
he looked constipated... hehe
and harry watching snape's memory was supposed to be done in the pensieve, and not during an occlumency session
things like this messes about with my memory of the story
so i'd give the movie about 3.5-4/5

so after that, we went to pizzahut to eat
we were told to wait half an hour before they could get a table for 10 ready
so we split up, and explored plaza sing
i was constantly keeping a headcount of the kids
didn't want to accidentally lose one of them

overall, it was fun, except when my brother made my younger sister cry
while the rest of us were goofing around, making funny faces

4. tuesday, went to the airport at 7 in the morning to see my cousins off
before this, they hadn't been back in a year
so i'd really missed them
and now it was goodbye again
:'(
but i'll visit them after them damned A levels are over
after i get my results, and a motorbike license

=)

Saturday, July 07, 2007

watched transformers!! OMG! it was so good
funny, full of action, fantastic special effects... what more could fina ask for?
it was so good, in fact, that steph held her pee for 1 hr 45 minutes just so she wouldn't miss anything!

hehe
so this week has mostly been a very relaxed week in school
an example of a typical day at sajc for me is:
thursday> first lecture, SEA history, then PE, then 1/2 hour break, 1 hour PW, 3 hours break, and then GP cancelled.

thus, basically, the only lesson we had was history, and that was first thing in the morning!
ugh...
but i'm not really complaining cos u noe i hate studying rite? haha
later i'm going over to my cousin's house to deposit my stuff, then head over to the NDP preview show thingie

and after that, my grandma's house,
cos my aussie-living cousins are here!!! yea!!

hmmm... amazing race was... undescribable
on the one hand, we had a "class outing" (albeit to potong pasir only)
on the other hand, it got very sian after a while, so we gave up with 30 minutes left in the game, and went to eat =)

hehe
ouh, the other day, i saw this cute tee at GAP
omg i really want it! (or was it at esprit?)
and it's not that pricey too
hmm, but when in the world am i gonna find the time to head there again?
so, bye bye GAP tee, hello
national day tee

hahah
but seriously, do u noe how hard it is to find a red polo tee for women in causeway point?!
walked everywhere, couldn't find even one
until we came to esprit, but becos it was $49.90, my parents wouldn't let me buy it
so i'll have to make do with a white collared tee then
haish, no national day spirit at all man

okay, that's it
fina =)

Thursday, July 05, 2007

congrats to my cousin who had her convocation yesterday at NUS =)
she was graduating with a Masters degree, with honours,
and even got the Runme Shaw award...

hahah
now, if only her smartness would rub off on me...
=)

Wednesday, July 04, 2007

i'm so bored...
in the school library now with pat, yiqi and kellyn,
while everybody else is having mother tongue...

ok; that's it
just wanted to find something to do

see ya =)

Tuesday, July 03, 2007

omg i so love Po from the teletubbies!!
she just makes me wanna say *eeeee! so cuuuttteeee!!!!!*
hahah
seriously, when she say *eh-oh tinky winky, ehoh dipsy, eh-oh laalaa* when greeting the others...
hahah just so a-frickkin'-dor-able heehee XD

do u see now the appeal of po?
hahah

ok, so this week is one that i'm hoping will be relaxed...
monday holiday, friday college day,
and all i need is for wednesday and thursday to be relaxed
*please, can you grant me this one+++(in case i have more) wish?*

i got a keychain from liepzig
yay!! exactly what i wanted
even if he (bro) deigned to buy me only one thing
and nothing else,
i'd still hope for it to be a keychain, to add to my collection
and i got it! (possibly to make up for the other keychain-less trips to dusseldorf and guangzhou)
hehe

and of course the customary chocolates he always buys
and cookies! heavenly, 40% choc chip, cookies!!
and pencil cases, and a handbag for Mama
and lots of pics and videos
okay, this is one trip i'm happy with :)

met up with syaz after econs paper last thursday
caught up on old times
it's been a while since i've looked at the sky during the day
the only times i remember that vast canvas of wondrous colours domed over our heads
is at night
so here's a picture of that sky
but it's not that nice
except for the contrast between the darker and lighter clouds

monday was shopping day - hari-raya-shopping-for-fabrics day!
went to that building on bencoolen street with the huge OG sign
wasn't impressed
walked to bugis, and the street shops there blew me away
can't wait to revisit
:)

then went to arab street to look for fabrics
found one italian designer silk
huge flowers-looking-like-butterflies
psychedelic shades of blue, pink and yellow
hehe
might be too big to look nice as baju kurung, but i really loved the colours!
went to countless stores
bought that "kotak-kotak" (checkered) kind, from kashmir
lavender/gray/cream, paired with a plain cream kind of fabric
walked around some more before sis finally found something she liked
and the nice shopkeepers were so persuasive,
that from not wanting to buy any for herself,
that my mom ended up buying two different fabrics
talk about good salesmanship
hahah

and finally, today, looked at some perasan-cute/sexy girl's blog
eww, her pic on her blog's page was so... flat
and i do crudely mean the boobage area
totally went "ugghh" at her pics and posts
makes me wonder why i even bother visiting that blog...
oh yeah! to gawk and laugh at this kind of person
hahah so mean
i remember leaving a sarcastic comment, don't think she let it be posted though
don't wanna say it here
too bitchy... hehe

ok then
*sings* "it ends tonight" for now...
good night, sleep tight, and no, i don't think there are bedbugs
(they existed in them long ago non-springs mattresses, so no worries about bites :])

fina <3>

yesterday was spent a my cousin's funeral
on tuesday, after he was transferred back into the ICU,
the doctors called and said that "there was no hope"
he was already on life support and couldn't breathe on his own

and on wednesday, at 1.45 am
i got a call from my mum saying he'd passed on

in fact, he's on the front page of today's berita harian newspaper

i was never really close to this cousin
but looking at the people he left behind
his kids, his wife, his parents and siblings, crying...
the funeral was so heartbreaking
hmm

i don't deal well with death
don't know why

*and i need to study*

fina

Monday, June 18, 2007

sooo long since i've posted

updates*:

saturday; went syaz's house with diana to play games
am so in love with the latest need4speed
hahah
and the steering wheel and brake and acceleration pedals
did u noe we had to break the law to gather a $1000 bounty in the game and then run away from the police?
hahah
i racked a bounty of over $25,000 (took a long time of running away)
not including the damage to state property (i crashed into busstops and gas stations and cars and trucks)
but i finally got caught. needless to say, my character was treated roughly; i got a smack in the head for my exploits in the game.
haha

anyways, after that, i finished packing for my cameron/melacca trip
cleaned my room
and waited till 2 in the morning to wake everyone up to leave
hmm how was the trip?

cameron was fine
went to a butterfly farm where they have all these insects pinned onto displays
so many beautiful butterflies up there: blue ulysses, bluebottle, blue jay...
and some psychedelic-ly coloured butterflies
felt kinda guilty about them butterflies dying tho

the food we ate:
satay
tom yam soup (yum yAm!)
strawberries! with cream! and ice-cream!!!

hahah
went down to melacca after two nights
alas, equatorial and the legacy were full, as was city bayview and everly (hmm, forgot about the renaissance)
so we stayed at a really old "the emperor hotel"

and we shopped! hahah
finally found a pair of jeans
not levis, not lee, just VJ
yup, i've never heard of it either hahah
but the lee and levis stores either didn't have the size or the cut i wanted

came back on thursday evening
have done nothing to study since then
i did bring notes on the trip
but i spent the time reading sci-fi books
hehe

anyways, should start studying. i should, i should
guess i'll have breakfast/lunch first

happy brunch!! =)

Friday, June 01, 2007

okay, so i'm writing this now with tears in my eyes
no, nothing bad happened to me
i was just watching ekaterina gordeeva and sergei grinkov skate together
on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBu7Ex7RiMM
watched a whole lot of their other performances yesterday
(and cried some more)
but this is still my fav
the first one i ever saw

they were the best pairs skaters ever
paired together in 1982 when she was 11 and he 15
were world champions at their first try in 1986
married in 1991
and so in love
and he died in 1995
such a sad story

she has a book called "my sergei: a love story"
it had pictures of them with their daughter, really sad cos it felt more real that way
i was crying when i read the introduction
had to continue at home or the people on the mrt would think i was loony
haha

anyways,
the way they skate makes you really believe that they're in love
such harmony and understanding in their moves
even before i knew they were married that first time i saw them skate,
i was so in love with their apparent love
*sighs*
u really should watch the video on youtube
the song they skate to is perfect for them

and in the last part of the video,
scott hamilton (i think) says:
you see them together on or off the ice,
and all you want is for them to live happily ever after

truer words were never spoken
but alas, he died of a heart attack in his prime at 28
*tear*

now ekaterina (or katia) is married to another skater
former world champion ilia kulik
i've seen him skate before, really masterful and skilled
but when they duet on the ice, it's not the same
not the same harmony
granted, he is a singles skater and so not trained to be a pairs skater

when i first found out that she had re-married,
i felt strangely betrayed
like "how could she forget sergei, blah blah blah"
but if she's happy with a guy 6 years her junior,
then i'm happy for her
and she did look happy and content with her new husband,
and daughters daria (w/ sergei) and elizaveta (w/ ilia)

(though i still stubbornly feel that the pair she made with sergei
was still the most amazing and inspiring pair ever)

just watch the video, and you'll know how i feel

yesterday was fun =)

before the acjc perbayu thing,
bought a pair of slippers
(my first in two years; just didn't get around to buying one)
and had dinner at banquet (sashimi again)

decided i was too lazy to go all the way to bras basah to go to a library
and decided to limit my search to woodlands lib
needless to say, the choice of books there on louis braille is pathetic
and thus, i found only one childrens' book on him
yea, real useful for PW
hahah

anyways, then went to meet syaz at wdlands st
and met another syaz and an attasya (i think that's the spelling)
walked to acjc from bueno vista st.
arrived early
waited for the LT3 doors to open after getting the tix
blah, blah, blah
the play was fine
acting was good
though my butt went numb at one point of the show

but after that, a-HAH, was when the fun started
i shall not divulge our activities henceforth
but i got to explore more of singapore =)

anyways, reached home at 12.30
watched tv till 1.30 although i was dying of sleepiness
and had one of the best dreams in my life
hahah

all i can say about that dream is that
i got to become queen of the fairies
and rake apples off a huge enchanted tree (mine, o'course)
hahah
and did something bold that shocked me
but i'm glad i did it (in my dream, i mean)
oh! and i got to eat chocolate in my dream!
could really taste it, too =)

(u noe, the setting for my bold action was in a "chocolate factory" setting
hahaha
someone mentioned that workers were wasting chocolate
by throwing away the entire product when a tiny mistake was made
and i made my move
hehe)

anyways, that's it
listen to hellogoodbye's here in your arms
i <3 the melody
something i can wail to at home

fina=)

a few exceptions to things i normally don't have an inclination for:
(so naturally, i won't talk about sleeping 12 hours cos that's normal)
(i noe, lame, ERR!)

firstly, things that make fun of bsb
yup, i'm a rabid fan of the bsboys
BUT
i spent the whole of yesterday night watching the chinese backstreetboys (or backdormboys)
lol
if you don't know who they are
you seriously need to get out more, dudes
(or stay in more, depending on how you look at it.)
they just graduated from guangzhou college of fine arts last june
anyways, i honestly love the backstreet boys to death
but i seriously cannot deny that these boys are hilarious
like, "lmfao" kind of hilarious
their parody of i want it that way is one of the best!
i especially liked the song "bu de bu ai" or summat like that
the one usually on the left (huang yi xin) has a rubber face that's laugh-worthy
and he took on the female role in the song so flawlessly
the one on the left (wei wei) played the cool guy
but still as funny
seriously, go watch it on youtube
your asses will fall off from laughing, i guarantee you
and if it doesn't, then you can treat me to iced milo =))
ohh, and in almost all their videos, their roommate is in the background
playing counterstrike, seemingly oblivious to their singing
but he participates in some videos
hehe
here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrYxk-taX3g
GO WATCH IT!!!

second exception to things normally not-liked by me:
techno (??!!)
now i'm listening to hellogoodbye's "here in your arms"
hmm... might not be techno
a novice like me wouldn't noe
but it rocks!!
not much the beats, but the melody of the song
so wistful and... i dunnoe
just so believably in love
u noe?
i don't guess u do
hahah
listen here to get what i mean:

third thing:
reading my old posts
but now that i've gone and done it
i realise that my old posts
(not the early ones, those were BAAADDD,
no proper sentences, writing like a bimbo:
"i lub fantasia"??!!
yuucckkks)
were fewer in between than recently
but more interesting
like, my writing stye then was much more enjoyable to read than now
like my post last june 2006 on the world cup
haish
i wish i could still write like that
but considering that my english grades weren't so good then
i wonder if it's better to write as i did then or now

hmm, yesterday, i counted the number of stars in the sky at night
and there were more than twenty!
seriously, that many!
granted, i wasn't surrounded by buildings,
nor was there light pollution
i love stars
don't you?
who doesn't love stars?
they seriously need to check their heads man
hahah
looking at stars is one of the reasons
i'm begging my parents to bring us to kuantan this june
east malaysia beaches, clear skies at night
can't wait
but we're waiting to go till after my brother leaves for germany
then it's off frolicking by the sea!
yay!!

hmm
tmr gonna start on the group working file
darn!
it's not graded, yet she's so anal about these things
PW is such a chore
haish
gonna stock up on more sleep tonight though
as i've been doing since friday mwa-ha-ha!
alrightey then

till next post,
fin=)

*update* went home and checked, the blog looks fine at home, so half the entry is now redundant anyways...

*original post*
shitts man. can't change the skin of the blog
i thought i did on sunday
but when i checked to day
it was still the same

WHYYYYY??!!
did everything i possibly could from the school lab to change it
but alas, i was unsuccessful
so i'm still stuck with the grey old boring skin
sorry hayden, but this skin really is getting boring

anyways, yesterday
we fetched my brother from the airpost
as always, his face was-how do you say it- Sour?
we had tea at polar
and went home

didn't think he'd buy me anything, since i forgot to ask him to
usually i ask him to buy me a keychain, since i wanna widen my collection of 'em
(u noe what else is a bugger? him forgetting to buy me a keychain when he went to germany and switzerland! all he brought back were chocolates. but i digress...)
but he actually remembered to buy me something!
=)

my sister can attest to the fact that i've been staring longingly at wooden construction kits whenever we pass by a stall selling them
(especially the carousel ones. oh! and the windmills!)
so i was glad he bought me a construction kit
one of a dragon and phoenix holding a ball of flame or sth
darned complicated
more complicated than the three story wooden house i made last year

i'm so jealous though of my sis
she got the carousel!!!
how unfair is that?!
and when i offered to help her build it,
"NO", she said," i wanna do it this time"
ungrateful! (u do understand that all this ranting just comes from jealousy, right? no offence to anyone)

haish
guess i'll end my depressing post here
mayhaps the next post won't be so childish and whiny

=)fin

heyy!!

hahah
went shopping at mustafa centre yesterday
and as i am wont to do, i took nearly every item i saw and put it in our trolley

no lah, i'm grossly over-exaggerating
but because of me
we spent $175 on groceries
not including the 80 bucks we spent on toiletries
hahah

(interesting) items bought:
32" sharp LCD tv (yay! finally sth to replace our 11-yr old 25")
Bickford's CREAMY SODA (this rocks man =)
Bavaria Beer (non-alcoholic though)
raspberries (love<3)
mac and cheese (sth else tt's <3)
some breadcrumb covered thing that oozes parmesan cheese when fried =)

loved the creamy soda, hated the beer
i canNOT, for the life of me, comprehend why people like beer
it tastes so bitter, so tasteless
so... UUGGHH *shudders*
disgusting
the can's still in the fridge, just short of one sip
don't think anybody's gonna finish it
but it was only $1.60, so i won't feel guilty about throwing it away

oh, on friday, went orchard wiith steph to shop for a school bag
shortlisted two adidas bags
but couldn't decide on one, so we left it at that
we shared a packet of hershey's chocolate-covered marshmallows with strawberry jelly filling
while drinking coke at yoshinoya(or summat like that)
yum :P

hehe
looked for the adidas bags at mustafa's yesterday
three other bags that we saw on friday
but nothing of them adidas ones i loved
oh well...
still unsure about them
so i guess i'll shop around some more

ok then
my post ends here for today
till next week,
fin=)

(p.s. below is the pic of that beer i hated. hehe)

Thursday, May 10, 2007

so today was my first experience in getting a green slip.
quite easy to get, though the teacher was suspicious, and rightly so,
considering that our class was so-called a "green slip-class".
everyday, at least one person gets a green slip, and at least one person's absent.
in fact, some people get green slips just cos they wanna go home early
something i've considered, but never tried
one day, myfriend, one day
hahah

but my sickness is real.
got some virus in my stomach or something
must be the kway teow i ate at around 11am yesterday
about 4 hours after that, diarrhoea began
really, painful stomach aches, and the shitting
or lao sai, as they call it :P
hahah
such explicit content.

anyway, miss zhou told me and keed(who also got a green slip) to go see a doctor
and i went home
liying wanted to leave school early with me(12.45 is the earliest we're allowed to go)
but the jaga won't let her pass w/o a green slip
so i had to go home first

watched tv, ate some cheese pancake thing from jollybean
(bad decision; the doctor just told me not to eat that)
then went to a private doctor with my parents

doctor game me MC for today and tmr, without me having to ask
just in case, he said
thank you doctor :)
hahah
we were in and out in less than an hour
god, it was so much less time-wasting than polyclinics

anyway, now i've got a runny nose, possibly from some other patient
and my parents won't let me go bowling tomorrow
oh shit! just remembered
that i have to give back some form for this year's A level fees or summat

do i go tmr?
will miss zhou mind?
guess i'll have to sms her then

btw, did u noe, our class has some inside jokes about certain people in school?
hahah
like this series of "miss **** is so thin that..." jokes
hilarious
and even some "***** is so mean that..."
hahah
just thought i'd share one with u:
"miss **** is so thin that when she takes the mrt, people keep trying to grab on to her, thinking that she was the pole"
heheh

so mean of us, right?
anyways...
feeling drowsy now

see ya ;)

so i've been greatly procrastinating on my GP compre
been walking around the house all day, moaning about how i do not want to do a GP compre

GOSH! i really do hate doing comprehension passages. i keep writing answers that i don't think are good enough, and i never know what the questions really want. uurrgghhh!

tried studying for my SEA history test today too. haven't gotten past Burma yet. and there're like, vietnam, malaya, indonesia and the philippines left to study? and bloody econs?

abso-bloody-lutely gorgeous. hahah. don't mean to curse there, but in situations like these, i just feel like i have no choice but to do so.

now i'm still moaning over the compre, trying to finish it before the end of the arsenal match against chelsea, but i noe i won't. still...

that's it for now, i guess. posts have been few and far in between, not to mention always relatively short, but can't be helped, considering how i've grown lazier over the past few weeks. lol ^.^

it's been so long since... last week? two weeks ago?
well, it feels like it's been a long time
anyway...
what is there to say?
oh yes! i'm now hooked on answers.yahoo.com
hahah
and i'm a level two member now, since i'd joined last friday or so
but, the sad thing is, it's losing it's novelty
my answers are getting crappier, with lesser thought put in
haish... i pity the people looking for proper answers
annddd...
there's a school play tmr! i'm forced to go, and i have nothing to wear
hoping to go shopping sometime tmr...
anyone? wanna go?
hahah
it's a one time event, but this has made me realise how few wear-able clothing i have in my wardrobe
t-shirts and shorts? not gonna cut it
hmm...
i guess that's it. well, that and all the stupid incidents i've had
like hitting a guy in the head with my elbow while trying to get up from my seat in the MRT?
yup, real smart... hahah
and washing my phone in the washing machine? and missing the deadline for homework because i forgot to hand it up after i printed it out in the school com lab?
man, must have been an off-day.
been sleeping early, missed homework because of that, missed"heroes", "csi", "desperate housewives", all my favourite shows :(
BUTT: i'll catch up in the weekend. yes i will :)
and there's bowling laterr!!
woohoo!
hahah
(I've been learning chinese> wen shi jian qing wei he wu ...
... will be continued. basically, it's some chinese poetry.hahah)
(lim pei ka li kong?!!) (ur father got problem?!!) bad, bad!
zai jian!!!

what is a true fan?

is he/she one who does whatever possible to achieve his/her dreams of meeting their idol?
like, for example, the 29 year old chinawoman who sold her family's house and drained their savings to go see Andy Lau?

or is it a person who knows all the team's stats, the player profiles, every single happening in that particular fan-worthy team? someone who fights criticism against the team with more stats and facts?

i for one, think i am a true fan. but not the type mentioned above. i don't really care about the stats, though they do make me sound more credible as a fan, nor will i sell my house and kill my father to go meet my favourite team.

i'm just a simple, honest-to-goodness true arsenal fan.
i'm not fair-weathered; i stay with them through thick and thin, through whatever scandals they may go through, or whatever slump they may experience.

i may not be able to defend whatever wrong other people might be accusing them of doing, like going underground to buy players or cheating on taxes (which, i'd like to verify, is the team policy to pay the foreign players' taxes; it's legal and not cheating)

all i care about is the way they play, they way they inspire me to watch a game when i've never really had an interest to watch matches. i have faith in them in whatever they do.

critics may argue that i'm not a hardcore fan. i say: in ur eyes, maybe. i don't really care. all i care about is watching their matches, cheering when they score goals and moaning when they lose, just like any norma fan would.

i accept that they have their shortcomings, their off-days. but i'm there through it all, and it's no use denouncing me as a surface fan, cos i'll always be there.

just what i feel in response to some rather condescending people. ;)

omg! did u catch the mr world pageant last saturday?
hahah
my sis went positively orgasmic at the sight of all those hotties
hahah
of course she didn't...
she just squealed her head off whenever any hot guy cam on screen

anyways, my hot favourites where brazil, chile, spain, lebanon, malta and ukraine
sad to say, malta and ukraine didn't make it
though the rest did
heehee

if by chance you didn't catch the show, here are some of the hottest people there:

mr spain, juan garcia, the winner (*squeal!*)

mr brazil, lucas gil, the runner up (*squeal! squeal*!)

mr chile, patricio laguna, top five

mr lebanon, anthony hakim, top fifteen (so cute!)

hahah
and that's just some of them
well, just in case that left you thirsty for more hunka-hunka-burning-love,
here's a clip from mr spain 2006 that juan garcia won
if you'll pay attention, you'll notice that there're alot more hot spanish men could have easily won mr world
hahah

anyways,
my favourite really was brazil
he just has that innocent, sweet, boyish look
hahah
really cute
here's more eye-candy:

isn't he just dreamy?
hahah
and chile really looks like an actor, really mature, distinguished, charming-like
hahah

ok,ok
i should stop
ok
i'm done
but i'm returning to this page again and again
hahah
=))

omg, i can't believe it's been so long since my last post!
like, almost a month has passed (or at least twenty days)
so much has happened since then

okay, here's the shit:

i'm now in 07A10, which is a very artsy, noisy, friendly class
liying's there too [=)]
anyway, our class is one of the largest
and... alot (read: too many) sporty people in there
ergo i'm basically one of the least unfit in class
uurrgghh....
gotta buck up, FINA!

taking hist, econs and lit, with h1 maths
have no idea what half the classes are about
since i missed out on first three months (and a-maths)
but i'm trying
all homework handed in on time, can u believe it?!
hahah
neither can i ;P

really adjusting to waking up early and coming to school
nowadays, i will naturally wake up before the alarm, at around 4.55
which is good
and when i'm not taking the 6.25 train to toa payoh, my father sends me to school
but of course that's not gonna be a usual thing,
only when it's his off day
*sighs*

also adjusting to jc life, except the fact that i hate pe
yup, it's the same as before
though i don't recall hating pe as much as i do now
the feeling of hatred has been heightened by 5-months inactivity
damn, i should have exercised at least abit during first three months

last friday was inessa's farewell bbq
met alot of ppl i haven't me since like forever
even before the bbq
met sarah, tipah, irna, fatin and diana at wdlands st
not to mention a few other ex-bpians
unfortunately, sarah, tipah and irna weren't gping to the bbq :(
so after taking the bus with tipah, met syaz under tipah's block and headed there

so much fun catching up on old times man
rai, siti, zul, hafizul, anum, umairah and countless other people
hmm
and of course the ikan bakarr! thankiu inessa's mum!

so sad that inessa's gone to canada!
hmm...
have fun there! with snow! and getting to uni early!
hahah

didn't get to really say goodbye properly
i wanted to pass her a card on saturday, but didn't get to meetup with her
oh well
at least i have sth to buat kenangan lah

i really have to get out of my shell at school
i'm like one of the quiet ones there,
and u noe that's so not me when i'm properly influenced, right?
i need to get bubbly! come on, fin, let ur inner bubble shine! bubble! BUBBLE!

hahah
anyway, i'm so tired now
from jogging up to the twelfth floor and back down twice yesterday
short space of time, but it'll kill ur thighs when you reach around the tenth floor
and we're running 2.4 km this thursday! SHIT!

anyway

toodles! *in a typically bubbly manner*

Friday, March 09, 2007

the last day of orientation has come and gone
my kingdom (saverdo) won best cheer and best overall kingdom
and i like my og mates
but this is how it was from the beginning...

wednesday morning. i put on my school uniform and brought nothing else to school, thinking that i was just to report, and then i could just ... go home
but i was wrong

hahah
blur me
no bag, no water bottle, nothing

anyway, i found myself in OG 8
with a very cute OGLeader (guy, lah)
and three other BPians in my og, surprising enough
liying, atikah and rei wern

anyways...
we tried to introduce ourselves but with other teams around, and with a quiet OGL,
our introductions got drowned in all the noise
however, in a quieter environment (i.e. classroom)
impromptu introductions took place among us
well, among a third of us, at least
the other two thirds were talking amongst themselves or playing cards (??)

thankfully, beside me were friendly people
on my right, a guy who didn't wanna cheer but just wanted to interact with us
hahah
seriously
his own words

as orientation went on
i realised that i liked my og
at first i was seriously contemplating going to ijc
but i remembered all the friendly people in my og
and so, i decided to stay a saint

in my og, there were originally 30 people
but some moved to hwachong, njc, yjc
and some 2nd intake students were tired of orientation
so our numbers dwindled to around 18

my og has some interesting characters
one of whom is this guy
who, at first glance, seems really the typical sporty guy from a guys' school
but he's really a friendly guy to everyone
a charmer? an extrovert? a S.N.A.G.? (btw, he hates that term)
he likes the parent trap, the princess diaries, sound of music
he 's good at imitating people
and he told me," i like heels"
...
hahah
no, he's not gay
what he meant when he said that was that he likes seeing girls wear heels
hahah

another interesting character is this guy who everyone finds irritating
he has some weird british accent with american overtones,
even tho he lived in australia and not britain
he's really overbearing
and a bit kedi
and just plain action

hmm...
and then there are the quiet girls
the girls who don't mix around, who seldom speak, who don't want to play games
i do try to talk to them, i really do
but it takes two, u noe?

okay, moving on...
second day
more games
we lost nearly all, didn't cheer loud, and drew two
BUT
we had fun
hahah
but it's really hard lah, since our OGL wasn't a very rah-rah kind of person
or a very involved OGL
so we were neither rah-rah nor very involved
...

somehow, with 18 people, almost half our original number,
we were actually double or triple the number of the opposing OG
weird huh?
guess they had more people who had better things to do

odd, isn't it, that we still lost alot of games?
hahah
especially when we had around six guys in our OG ( a high number for arts fac)

sometimes, some of us had to join another team to even up the numbers
four or six people, including me, had to join this other OG
so i played against my own OG
the funny thing is, the team i was on had the record highest score
while the my OG scored the lowest ever - 0
hahah
weird, huh?
hahah

and so we come to today
the last day of orientation
tiring
more games
cheering competition
alot of free time
during which we sat around, loitered, had early dinner, lepak-ed in the caf
sat around some more, relaxed
hahaha
oh such fun!

of course, during cheering com we woke up a little bit more
that's how we won
saving the best for last, i'd prefer to think
i skipped the disco, which was the last part of the orientation
and headed home early, ard 8
ahh... home sweet home
=)

lives are in the making here
hearts are in the waking here
mighty undertaking here
up and on! up and on!

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

wow! i'm a SAINT!
not officially, but after reporting there tmr, i will be
hmm
i never thought i'd be a saint

anyway
yesterday i caught four soccer matches just two see if i like arsenal because i'm biased
or cos there's something really special bout them

i watched three simultaneously
one before the other three
and all of them made me glad for arsenal
hahah

the first one i caught was blackburn rovers vs. bolton wanderers
i thot, this should be interesting
i mean, both teams have the worst disciplinary record of all the epl
62 and 61 yellow cards respectively for this season alone
the number one and two teams with the most yellow cards
so if their play isn't good, at least their rough play should prove entertaining
... right?

i was wrong
even with the presence of the wentworth miller-lookalike blackburn player
i was bored to death
the ball constantly in the air
urghh

anyway, after that i watched:
1. recreativo vs. atletico madrid (spanish la liga)
2. singapore vs. thailand (asean championship)
3. atalanta vs. something
(i was that bored) (italian serie A)

needless to say
i didn't pay alot of attention to the games
cos i was bored
cos arsenal wan't playing
hahah

but i did manage to keep my attention to the la liga match
it is touted as the most exciting league to watch
(but it seemed slower than epl matches)
there were a few moment that were... pleasant
but the main draw to me, was the fact that fernando torres was playing
in case u don't know, fernando is like, the cutest player i've ever seen
hahah

one thing though,
for the ladies who watch matches purely for eye-candy,
i think the spanish dudes in la liga will keep u happy
hahah
cos they are dark, handsome, and exotic
except for fernando
who's blonde, cute, and... cute
hahah

anyway, i watched another epl game today
tottenham vs. west ham united
a little more exciting
probably cos west ham was so desperate to win (they're at the bottom of the table)
and cos 7 goals were scored altogether
seven??!!
hahah
i like watching goals as much as the next guy
hahah

but still, i choose to stick with arsenal
i haven't compared them to chelsea, liverpool, man utd or the likes
but i'm pretty satisfied with arsenal
no, i'm very satisfied of arsenal
and very fiercely proud of them, too

hahah
anyway,
tmr i'm a saint!
woohooo
hahah

finx

yesterday, another arsenal match, but one which made me very very happy
hahah
again with my arsenal
yesterday's match against reading was hilarious
hahah

one thing i'm embarassed to admit
was that i was a little bit unfaithful to arsenal
cos reading had this redhead player called kitson
and i just couldn't help thinking to myself," he's one handsome devil"
the term redhead doesn't do his hair justice, though
cos it was really orange
but still cute, though
but that was it, i swear
i was faithful the rest of the way
hahah

one funny instance, though, was when csec fabregas was gonne tap the ball into the net
when his foot got in the way
poor fabregas was so embarassed that he hid his face in the crook of his arm
but that wasn't all fabregas did

he accidentally scored an own goal

poor fabregas
but i don't blame him.
he was just trying to block the ball from entering between the goalposts
anyway, he did do a good job of orchestrating yesterday's play

i am very satisfied with yesterday's results
and since we're on the subject of arsenal
let me just tell you how arsenal has changed my view towards football

the way arsenal plays is just really inspiring to watch
they keep the ball on the ground instead of kicking it far and high to get it to the opponents' side of the pitch
their first touch capabilities ( i don't really know the technical term) is astounding
they can change the direction of the ball towards where they want it to go without stopping the ball
or even dribbling the ball first
the intricate plays they produce and the finesse with which they control the ball
matched with their good pace and good instinct
all makes for very, very beautiful football

oh gosh, i really am a mad fan, aren't i?
i realise that with every match i watch, i fall more and more in love with arsenal
and fabregas, i'm embarassed to admit
because my sister says he looks really cacat
but on the pitch, rawr! he's a tiger, who's really confident and masterful

hahah
i'm guessing that this is where non-arsenal fans have probably fallen asleep from boredom
but i can't help it
anyway, i'll compromise a bit on my arsenal ranting by changing the subject

before the match, my family and i went to the carousel at grand plaza hotel to have dinner
the word was that the buffet there was simply divine
so, reservations made for 6.30, we headed off to fill our bellies

and i'm telling you, we were not disappointed
first of all, the atmosphere was hip, but more relaxed than the restaurant that preceded it
the cafe vienna of old was more grand, but the buffet at the carousel had much more variety

dessert was too much to handle, with two counters
one counter had the chocolate fountain in which you dip fruits and biscuits to make choc fondue
and ice-cream with every single (normal) topping you can imagine
they even have butterscotch topping! my fave!

the other counter had
all sorts of cakes
more than a dozen different cakes and puddings
they had orange creme brulee and chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake
however much i hate to admit, even the dessert-loving fina couldn't manage to taste every one of the desserts

that's not all
they had all sorts of different kinds of seafood
from lobster to crab, sweet clams and oysters, and sea bass and salmon
i don't eat seafood except for salmon and seabass, but even i was impressed

and sushi!
my favourite was salmon, of course
but sadly, they didn't have the crabmeat mayo that i liked
i tried sashimi
which i liked

and they had chicken rice, which is normal, with all sorts of local dishes
but they also had all kinds of pasta and roastbeef and lamb and chicken
with six types of gravy
and pie and fruits and all kinds of unusual(to me) dishes
i found that i liked minced duck and hated wasabi

needless to say, i ate until i was full to bursting
literally
a few times, i was ready to throw up
but i couldn't, nor was i able to burp properly

my sister reacted the worst to all that food though

she threw up everything in the bathroom
said she didn't have a taste for sashimi and oysters

overall, i am very satisfied( that word again) with yesterday night
i didn't waste a cent of my parents' money at the buffet
and arsenal made me proud again.

(about the other arsenal games earlier in the weak,
i don't blame them.
they're a young team just finding their footing,
and they're ladden with injuries and suspensions.
so they did just fine with what they had. =)

i just found out that arsenal has 5 or more players who are islam
wow! hahah
robin van persie, i knew he was islam,
but i thought he was the only one

then when i watched an arsenal match,
i saw armand traore(17) baca doa
i was pleasantly surprised
then my father told me that
kolo toure(26), abou diaby(21) and jeremie aliadiere(24) are also islam

hmm... interesting, huh? hahah

so now i'm officially unemployed again
yesterday was my last day
i'm so sad to be leaving!!
omg!

tears were shed, gifts (i.e. chocolates) were exchanged, pictures were taken
damned it, but i do regret not dressing up nicer yesterday
hahah
the picture up there was taken at the end of the day
most of us are temps, six of whom had their last day yesterday
including me

it's so depressing when i start to think about it
like, no more walking into an empty, cold office, early in the morning
and watching people filtering in
and sleeping on my desk
and then when sarah brings my breakfast, feasting on a mcmuffin or roti hotdog or old chang kee
while waiting for the computer to start and for us to be given the list of updates

no more getting iced milo from the vending machine without paying
and using the executive toilet only because it looked like it belonged in a hotel

no more pondering about where to have lunch
or enjoying our packed lunch in the pantry or at the staircase
with other office people
or even coming back late from lunch and wondering if we were the last ones

no more complaining about PHUpdate being slow
or e-bao being sluggish
or our accounts being locked
or even about being sleepy the moment we start work again

no more talking to each other about ghosts stories or harry potter
or gossiping about other temps (hahah!)
or complaining about policy holders(ph) who make our work harder

no more calling people up on the phone to ask about their address
or e-mail
or telling them the haven't received a password because they haven't updated their hp no.s

no more staying back late to reach the target (like when i just started)
or cheering each time we get over the target
or reminiscing about the time we did 110 updates by lunch

no more seeing the fun people of the work place
or whispering about the people who make the workplace a little less pleasant
=(

anyway, now my list of "no-more"s have ended
i think i'll just talk about arsenal another day
hahah
so sad they lost to blackburn rovers
who played rough, damn those bastards' arses
but i still love them =)
