the last day of orientation has come and gone
my kingdom (saverdo) won best cheer and best overall kingdom
and i like my og mates
but this is how it was from the beginning...

wednesday morning. i put on my school uniform and brought nothing else to school, thinking that i was just to report, and then i could just ... go home
but i was wrong

hahah
blur me
no bag, no water bottle, nothing

anyway, i found myself in OG 8
with a very cute OGLeader (guy, lah)
and three other BPians in my og, surprising enough
liying, atikah and rei wern

anyways...
we tried to introduce ourselves but with other teams around, and with a quiet OGL,
our introductions got drowned in all the noise
however, in a quieter environment (i.e. classroom)
impromptu introductions took place among us
well, among a third of us, at least
the other two thirds were talking amongst themselves or playing cards (??)

thankfully, beside me were friendly people
on my right, a guy who didn't wanna cheer but just wanted to interact with us
hahah
seriously
his own words

as orientation went on
i realised that i liked my og
at first i was seriously contemplating going to ijc
but i remembered all the friendly people in my og
and so, i decided to stay a saint

in my og, there were originally 30 people
but some moved to hwachong, njc, yjc
and some 2nd intake students were tired of orientation
so our numbers dwindled to around 18

my og has some interesting characters
one of whom is this guy
who, at first glance, seems really the typical sporty guy from a guys' school
but he's really a friendly guy to everyone
a charmer? an extrovert? a S.N.A.G.? (btw, he hates that term)
he likes the parent trap, the princess diaries, sound of music
he 's good at imitating people
and he told me," i like heels"
...
hahah
no, he's not gay
what he meant when he said that was that he likes seeing girls wear heels
hahah

another interesting character is this guy who everyone finds irritating
he has some weird british accent with american overtones,
even tho he lived in australia and not britain
he's really overbearing
and a bit kedi
and just plain action

hmm...
and then there are the quiet girls
the girls who don't mix around, who seldom speak, who don't want to play games
i do try to talk to them, i really do
but it takes two, u noe?

okay, moving on...
second day
more games
we lost nearly all, didn't cheer loud, and drew two
BUT
we had fun
hahah
but it's really hard lah, since our OGL wasn't a very rah-rah kind of person
or a very involved OGL
so we were neither rah-rah nor very involved
...

somehow, with 18 people, almost half our original number,
we were actually double or triple the number of the opposing OG
weird huh?
guess they had more people who had better things to do

odd, isn't it, that we still lost alot of games?
hahah
especially when we had around six guys in our OG ( a high number for arts fac)

sometimes, some of us had to join another team to even up the numbers
four or six people, including me, had to join this other OG
so i played against my own OG
the funny thing is, the team i was on had the record highest score
while the my OG scored the lowest ever - 0
hahah
weird, huh?
hahah

and so we come to today
the last day of orientation
tiring
more games
cheering competition
alot of free time
during which we sat around, loitered, had early dinner, lepak-ed in the caf
sat around some more, relaxed
hahaha
oh such fun!

of course, during cheering com we woke up a little bit more
that's how we won
saving the best for last, i'd prefer to think
i skipped the disco, which was the last part of the orientation
and headed home early, ard 8
ahh... home sweet home
=)

lives are in the making here
hearts are in the waking here
mighty undertaking here
up and on! up and on!
